The above video is a showcase of what the second fright (night) of a run in FALSE FRIGHTS may look like.
Everything shown in this video is a work in progress, and therefore subject to change.
You can watch a higher quality upload of the video here.
It's been a while since the last proper devlog, hasn't it?

Sorry about that. I'd have preferred to resume development sooner, but motivation said nuh-uh, so here we are.
A lot has changed in the past week! We've got two new members on the development team, a whole crew of people working on assets now as opposed to just me, and we've even got an official collab with Drew Animates and ToobertheWoober set in place! Those two are the ones behind the Red Freddy, 87, and FrEd hoaxes, for those of you who didn't know.
The roster of this game has gone through a lot of changes recently, but I think I can confidently say that the current roster we have now will be what is gone with from here on out, with the possibility of more characters being added of course.
Five new characters have been coded in since the "LOOKING FOR HELP" post was made last week! Those characters are Phantom Bonnie, Insane Demon Killer Freddy, Emerald Foxy, Fliptrap, and Withered Puppet.
Four of those characters are shown off in the video above, with Fliptrap being left out because admittedly, he's the least mechanically-interesting. Though with this being only Fright 2, I only have room to show off four characters anyway, so it all works out.
Let's discuss mechanics. All four characters shown off in the video rely heavily on usage of the cameras, so if the gameplay looks a little more camera-oriented this time around, that's why.
Phantom Bonnie doesn't have any set camera he resides in. Instead, he will slowly fade into view during camera usage, blue-screening the currently-viewed camera if you let him fade in all the way. If two cameras are already bricked, instead of bricking a third, he kills you.

Insane Demon Killer Freddy hides out in the ceiling of the Office. Every time you put down the cameras, he drops down from above in an attempt to ambush you. Simply flicker your light at him a little to get him to retreat. If you fail to do so in time, or put the cameras back up before you do it, you die.

Emerald Foxy starts out in either Pirate's Cove (Camera 4) or the Backstage room (Camera 10). He won't immediately pursue the player, instead opting to wander about the building. If you happen to find him and stare at him for too long, he relocates to the Office, where he then slowly starts to materialize. To stop him from this, shine the flashlight on him as he passes by the office entrance. If he fully materializes, he'll kill you. He will stay in the office for at least one minute, only leaving once said minute has passed & he has been fully dissipated by the flashlight.

Withered Puppet stays in the Prize Corner (Camera 3) with her broken (yet very much beloved) music box. You do not have to wind it to keep it playing, however the music box will slowly lose durability over time. To repair it, input the Repair Code shown on Camera 3 into the numpad. If the music box breaks, she kills you.

I won't reveal Fliptrap's mechanic just yet... you'll have to wait until Fright 3 to learn what exactly it is.
That puts us up to 11/38 characters completed! No new tag-teams this time around, but maybe next time there will be.
As for non-character related changes, there haven't been too many, but the notable ones are the new gameplay track "Manufactured Anemoia" (composed by @Bop__ ) and the menu getting updated to showcase more characters.
Here's an image of that now, with Fliptrap being the character on display:

The asset crew has been doing an amazing job with these designs, by the way. Huge thanks to all of them, I couldn't be more proud.
No new clear conditions have been worked on just yet, however I hope to have the "Hit the Plushies" one ready to be shown off by the time the next devlog is out.
Last but not least, the first Boss Character is now fully planned out! I am incredibly excited to start work on it, however that probably won't be for a little while. I've got other things I want to make sure I get done first.
I believe that's all I have to say for this devlog post. Thank you for reading to the end, assuming you didn't just skip to the bottom. See you next time!
