Hello everybody!
The past week was a good one for Welcome to the Mansion Remastered. Thanks to you guys I got even more motivated to work on it. This week consisted out of making small starts and completing other stuff. I finished the intro, I started working on some rooms. I started making a gameover screen. (Late in development) And at last, the most time consuming thing: I was fixing bugs and tried to make some stuff look more smooth.
Oh I almost forgot, I changed some stuff in the dialogs, so the characters can now recall stuff that has been said before. For example: You tell Sarah how you got kidnapped. (That was one of the 3 options). Then in another dialog Jack asks you how you got in the mansion. If you answer that you don’t know, Sarah will then tell you that you are lieing since you just told here how you got there.
It isn’t much, but it does make it a little bit more personal.
I also added some character portraits, because I didn’t draw certain emotions at first. I also planned out everything from now on. From area layout to character movement. All that’s left is making it work in the game itself.
talking about completing. I completed the main Mansion fully now. So the areas are the only places left to create. And I am looking really forward to it. There also is some more stuff I would love to tell you, but then I would spoil everything! So I’m just gonna end this blog here, and I’ll see you next week!
