Alright, after many years of thinking about it and seeing the absolute shitshow of AAA game dev studios in recent times I decided that I'll manage to at least get 5 consecutive players too if I try to create a game, and will be on one level with a 100$mil+ project like Concord that way.
I’m finally sharing my own project — introducing the very first (and VERY early) screenshot of my WWI-inspired logistics game!
Right now, it’s just a couple of textboxes and windows, the bare bones of the dev environment.
The idea behind this game: It’s a WWI logistics and resource management sim that’ll put you in charge of tough decisions—think managing supplies, making real-time calls on who gets what, and navigating random wartime events (all without you firing a single shot or getting to directly command battle units). You’ll be juggling resources, helping units, and facing unpredictable obstacles under pressure.
I don’t expect this to go big or anything, but this is purely for fun and to level up my programming skills. Plus, if you have questions, ideas, or just want to brainstorm, hit me up! I’m not sharing this project IRL until it’s done, so this community is the only place for me to share stuff, and maybe find people who'd like to sperg out about the topic with me (kinda sad, I know, but such is life).
And hey, even if this becomes just a lonely set of updates that most of you scroll past on your way to other posts, I’ll still be here, sharing the journey—just maybe with a few sadder words along the way.
I'm genuinely excited to talk about the project, answer any questions, brainstorm ideas, or just chat with anyone interested—sharing this with you all makes it that much more fun.
Here’s to starting from scratch and sharing the process!
