EDIT 12/12/2017: Yeah, I think the end result is pretty clear. The game’s gonna be finished. Regardless, things like the minigames are gonna recieve a bit of an overhaul. Stay tuned.

So, after the cancellations of POPGOES Reprinted and how it was done based on it just not being worth it, it got me thinking….will finishing FNAN 2 be worth it? The game so far has received a fairly mediocre reception, most notably because of the minigame designs and the models. So, I asked a Discord server I use often about if it would be worth it, and it overall turned into giving a lot of criticism regarding the game. I won’t go into detail about it, but it made me know one thing. Something had to change.

….but, I don’t know how drastically. Opinions are split on what the best course of action would be, both in that Discord and in the dev team. I could leave the game as it is and finish it as that’ll be the quickest option, wastes nothing and is the least stressful to the dev team. But it would leave it more mediocre than it would be if we went with the other options. I could massively overhaul things in the game like the models as it would allow FNAN 2 to be of a much higher quality. But it could backfire as FNAN 2 could be doomed from the start due to the titular main character. I could cancel FNAN 2 and make an entirely different fangame with a new star as that would give the best chance for our next fangame project to work. But everything from FNAN 2 will have gone to waste, which would likely anger the dev team. All three options have pros. All three options have cons. I don’t think me and the dev team can choose the conclusion ourselves.

…so I turn to the public. I have created a Strawpoll in which you can vote on the three options to help us decide the road to travel with FNAN 2. This could drastically change the game, the satisfaction of the dev team, the wait time for it, and other factors, so please vote carefully.

If you want my personal opinion, I want to leave it as is and finish the game. FNAN 2 has been well received in the dev team, and given the amount of progress I’ve made on the game, I don’t want to have to redo everything, especially after I already did with FreedomFreddy. But I’m not the entire human race. I am one person. And the other people could think differently. And don’t get me wrong, I don’t reject the concept of making a new project. In fact, even if FNAN 2 is finished, I want to do it, because the concepts made for it so far are ones I’m really interested in doing. Finally, don’t expect us to suddenly reveal everything about FNAN 2 if it ends up having it being cancelled as the most popular vote. There could be concepts that we’ll want to incorporate into the new project. But, I suppose we’ll just have to see.
This could be the turning point for FNAN 2. It all depends on your vote.
