Fixing up the curves!

There’s a few meaning to this one here, firstly, the games blocky appearance, particularly on earlier levels, needs an overhaul as indeed do the levels in general sadly.

In short, I’ve made them way too tough for most gamers it seems. Whenever I’ve let anyone else play Formula Racing they find it a tough challenge, and whilst that’s fine for later levels, I need to go back and re-plan the earlier ones out so there’s more of a curve to the games toughness.

I’ve also written up a few new tools for myself for future games since the last post, involving sampled sound using sound Channel 3 poperly for the first time and other tools to help colour matching for the gameboy colour version a bit easier.

It’s come a long way since the first few builds back in february this year and I have had breaks from this game whilst making others but yeah, I want to have this one done by the end of the year now!

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

Out of boredom and curiosity, I coded Sailor Jupiter's Argentine Backbreaker.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
