Hello everyone, today I’m going to give you an update on how the development of Spirit of Life is going so far.
First of all, tomorrow — May 16 — is the first day of my final year of high school (Grade 12), which means that game development will be facing many obstacles, especially in terms of time and sometimes a lack of ideas. But no matter what, the game must keep progressing.
Now, let’s get to the main point. The main menu scene is about 80% complete. What’s left are just some minor features like the language switch system (Thai-English). Since I haven’t finished the demo yet, I haven’t made the English translations — only the Thai version for now.
The Load/Save system is also functional, but not fully complete. I haven’t written the code to save the playtime (how many minutes have been played) or the date (day/month/year) of the last save.
As for the game content and gameplay, I’ve only completed around 15% so far. Currently, my game can be played for about 15–16 minutes, but I want players to be able to enjoy the demo for around an hour, or even a full hour if possible. I really want players to get the best experience from my game that I can deliver.
Finally, I plan to release the Spirit of Life DEMO on September 30, 2025, and I intend to include this game in the portfolio I’ll use to apply to my dream university in the future.
Thank you all for following the development of my game — and see you next time! 😀😁😆
