Hi,
after a month, I’ve decided to share another update. The project has been moving a bit more slowly lately, so I didn’t have that much to show. I don’t want to get into a situation where working on the game starts to feel like an obligation above everything else. To be honest, I’ve started to feel a bit dissatisfied with my work again and like I’m slowly stagnating. Because of that, I’ve decided to take short breaks from time to time to avoid burnout or losing interest in the project.
During these breaks, I’d like to work on something different—experiment, explore new ideas, and try new things. Something similar actually happened in the past when I was writing articles. I’d like to return to that for a while and maybe come up with new ideas for the game itself.
Overall, nothing major is changing—I’ve been taking these kinds of breaks before, I just didn’t mention it. It’s also one of the reasons why there are sometimes month-long gaps between updates. I’m working on the game with a small team, but despite that, I handle most of the graphics, the story, and the models myself, so everything naturally progresses more slowly.
That said, I don’t want this update to be just about explaining the slower pace, so here’s a quick summary of what’s new.
First, I’ve updated the Game Jolt page. I changed the icon, banner, and added more recent renders to the top section. The game also received a new logo, which I personally prefer—it’s more eye-catching and overall more visually appealing than the previous one.
I’m also including a pair of renders from work-in-progress rooms. These areas will still be expanded with additional decorations to make them feel more believable and lively. One of them is a side storage room, which I like to call the “closet,” and the other is a look at a room called the Main Showroom. This will serve as the main area where the animatronics start. It’s also worth mentioning that it’s one of the two largest rooms in the game. Its main feature is a large play structure that the player should be able to move through.
Lastly, I’ve completed the model of an animatronic named Crunch. I’ve shown this character before, but it has gone through a significant visual redesign since then. A lot of detail has been added, and the overall look has been greatly improved.
In the future, I also plan to expand the game’s description to include more detailed information I’d like to highlight.
That’s all I can share for now. Thanks for reading, and I’d really appreciate any support.
