Gamejam Voting


Is it just me or do you guys also think it would have been smarter if the organisation would have made some sort of preselection before letting the public vote on the (currently) 804 games?

I have seen some great games which get almost no votes, and mediocre ones that get showered with adoration, i genuinely question if the mediocre ones are a. great at spreading their name, b. have a great thumbnail/title, c. are really lucky/cheating.

I am happy enough just having finished a cool crossover between Katamari and 3D Hat Platformers, but i think it’s a shame for all contestants.

Anyway, i know the organisation has our best interests at heart, but you know, tips for the future :D (create a pre selection of about 50-100 games and allow the public to vote on those)

also it would be nice if views and plays counted for something in this competition. T_T (or if the ratings received during the voting period on the game’s main page would be added to the jam page votings)

I’ll stop my mini-rant now xD
