GiggleWoods V1.1.0 - Released!

Summary

Hello again everyone!

GiggleWoods version 1.1.0 is finally here! Thank you to all those who have provided support, feedback, and reviews for the initial release. I encourage you all to continue sharing your thoughts and experience!

With that said, much of the feedback received pointed towards the level of difficulty being one of the most lacking features of the initial release. For some this was not the case and I have made sure to include varying difficulty levels to suit all players.

I am looking forward to watching more video responses and reading all of your comments in the near future! :D

Changelog

  • Asset Optimization: Quite a few unused textures, materials, audio, and scripts have been removed to cut down on the download size.

  • Redesigned Giggler AI: In order to create a more intense experience the Giggler AI has been completely recreated from the ground up.

  • Alternate Difficulty Levels: Three new difficulty levels have been introduced, Easy, Normal, and Hard. These may need to be tuned a bit more in later releases.

  • UI Animations: The user interface has been touched up a bit to incorporate motion on controls and text.

  • UI Start Menu: A much needed start menu (escape key) has been added to the game to enable transitioning back to the main menu.

  • Villoon Colliders Removed: In some instances Villoons were colliding with objects in the game causing the Villoon to fly to the corner of the map. To eliminate the issue, Villoons no longer abide by the laws of physics.

Footnote

One of the features that did not make it into this build was the WebGL version of the game. This has to do with GameJolt not being able to add the build to the release. I will work on finding a way to incorporate this version in the coming week.

I am looking forward to your feedback, stay tuned for more devlogs and updates down the road!

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)
