Infection AU<3 (so creative I know. |:/)

So basically... a new crystal like virus was discovered in a cave by scientists, its color varies in different shades of purple and a slight hint of blue on them...!

Apparently this 'new' virus was starting to spread along the cave quite fast, scaring some hikers into reporting it numerous times.. (reason why they're testing on them)

Scientists take some samples, but these regenerate and go back their old self.. take an axolotl for example! You cut a limb and it regenerates back to normal after some time! Well this virus like crystal does the same thing but in milliseconds!

¿Any cure or something that can fight it? ¿What does this have to do with Shadow?

Chaos energy weakens them

And since Shadow is basically a walking anomaly full of chaos energy he's immune to this virus like thing

they're quite harmless unless they come in contact with open wounds or if u eat them (why would someone do that- 👁👄👁)

(Shadow is one of the main protagonists here and he's quite important on the story)

¿What happens if you get Infected?

It depends on how u got infected!

If it comes in contact with a small wound on a short period of time it may take a while to kick in and fully infect you.. you could probably go days or even weeks before it infects you

If it stays on a longer period of time on the wound it can infect you faster

If you somehow decide to be stupid enough to put it on your mouth and eat it well- it'll actually irritate and even burn your mouth- if you still decide to swallow it it'll feel like your throat is burning and stinging, once it reaches ur stomach it'll start to grow and eventually impale you from the inside out and take control over you

Now.. if your conscious when you get infected there's a chance you'd still have control over your body but not your urges to attack and kill others in sight, you'd also still remember a few things or even others!

If it somehow reaches someone who's dead it'll be an unstoppable killing machine.. although it'll have no sense of their surroundings and are actually an easy target to kill or get rid of due to their stupidness and clumsiness-
