Nidra is a sleepy, mystical tapir (she's so silly to me)
they're a tapir? I've never heard of that animal before...
her whole thing is about dreams, she reminds me of 2 characters from other game franchises.
she eats your dreams
I got this game when it came out on Nintendo Switch. it was on sale and it came with the season 1 pass too.
i haven't played it for a while, so when this quest showed up, I played the game again, but I've noticed some new characters and instantly fall in love with Nidra.
i like purple too
her voice actor is Anjali Kunapaneni. it looks like she voices in a lot of anime. she is Roy in the newest Pokemon anime.
my reaction to one of her moves being sleep made me go, "ahhh! that's so cute!" it really made my day.
she's the 3rd of the 4 new DLC characters/fighters from the game's season 1 pass.
i'm not good at it... fighting games aren't really my thing... but I'm only here for the story mode anyways. it only has one chapter right now, but they said that they're going to update it more after the season 1 pass is over. in chapter one you play as Arizona the cow girl. her father's named Texas...
the story mode is like a pixel adventure with some rpg eliminates, (I think their are rpg eliminates, I haven't played it in a while) and some platforming challenges. it turns 2d (not pixels) in these platform sections. enemies and characters can be fought when you touch them and/or part of the story like a rpg(?) in the fighting game aspect. you can customize the pixel character with accessories found in the world. it doesn't show up on the characters when fighting. the land is very linear I think with some branching pathways. the last 2 pictures are from the online lobby. in the online lobby you can fight other people and you can also mine to get gems to buy with to customize your pixel character. can also fight enemies and another thing. (that's a spoiler, I'm not saying it)
this might be my favorite fighting game, but I haven't really played that much besides all the Super Smash Brothers games, (except 3ds) but I don't think that counts, because it's not the same type of game in a way. the other one being Street Fighter 2, but not that much... and some others. (i don't remember) does Sonic Battle count?
edit: 11:10pm sun June 30th - I forgot Sonic the fighters... I've played that... i like that one... probably my favorite...
there's a bug that freezes your switch if you put it in sleep mode and then turn it back on. sometimes it happens. you have to hold the power off button for a long time and then it'll reset. so don't put in sleep mode. keep it on unless you close the game.
to be honest, the only thing I don't like about the game is when you combo, your damage gets weaker, like really weak quick. it just makes me not want to do long combos, also the computer players can be really easy to cheese.
i give it 8/10. i really like the art style, the story, the characters, it plays nice, the other extra modes in the online lobby then just fighting others. the portrait pictures of the characters remind me of Super Mario Strikers' art. I really like how those look. I also really like that you can change the colors of all the characters, and some of them reference other franchises. (in a non copyright way)
i used Arizona the most because of the story mode, but I would like to get to know Nidra more when I play this game again.
