Goodbye new World: A big patch


A big patch has appeared!

The long awaited patch is being released today.
Finally.

So, the final changelog for this patch is as follows:

Gave the protagonist a voice (Experimental)

  • This should give the player a few tips, and help tell the story as the game goes on.

  • If you hate this, tell me. I shall remove it if people don’t like it.

Changed how particles are rendered.

  • Changed them from the CPU to the GPU. This should allow there to be more on the screen at any time, while also rendering faster.

  • Also changed the rain, waterfall, and fire sprites to better ones.

  • Added areas for the particles to be, and not to be rendered. For realism.

Changed one of the 2 possible endings.

  • Lets be honest, Herobrine appearing behind you and punching you is cliche, predictable, and overall retarded.

  • No, I will not tell you what I replaced it with, you must see for yourself ;)

Made the menus friendlier for different aspect ratios.

  • Should actually display more of it if you have an aspect ratio of 4:3

  • Please give me feedback because I don’t know how well this will work.

Lots of level tweaks.

(Hopefully) Fixed the game freezing at the transition between forest and village. Should pre-load it before rendering, allowing for a smoother transition.
