Halftime

Thanks for the comments on my last entry. I agree to all of them.

Today I was working again on the engine and it’s almost done. Just some representation of certain values is missing. All challenges are now procederal fractal generated. That means every property from the number of obstacles to the speed they move, or the intervals in which they open or close paths, even the score you can gain from a challenge, etc.

From chaos and randomness order arises!

The game would be done, if there wouldn’t be my nightmare: the graphics. I just can’t draw or paint. I know exactly, how all should look like, but can’t implement it. I need to find a way though, blocky placeholder graphics aren’t attractive… (besides, that’s the reason why there’s no screenshot yet^^)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
