Howdy, folks!

Over the course of the next week (until the 7th), we're going to be looking for three new members of the team! These are the roles we're looking for:

Spriter: Overworld Tiles/Character sprites

We're looking for a spriter who's able to create overworld tilesets, various sprites for the overworld, and character sprites. These include floor tiles, objects in the world, buildings, etc. Basically anything that can appear in the overworld, you may be asked to create assets for. Must be able to maintain a style similar to Undertale's so that your assets do not look out of place.

Spriter: Cutscene Artwork

We're looking for a spriter who'd be able to create detailed pixel artwork to be used in cutscenes throughout the game. DF is relatively cutscene-heavy, so you'll be contributing to a very important part of the game. The cutscenes will typically remain in the game's resolution of 320x240, so that's the kind of size you'll be working with. You'll be provided with rough sketches of how the cutscenes should generally look, and given context so that you picture what kind of tone the cutscene is meant to depict. You're welcome to use your own style in these cutscenes, as long as it matches with the game's more serious themes. For example, an anime style would not work. But I'm pretty open to making the game a bit different than Undertale, so show me what you've got! The cutscene art won't typically be animated, so animation skill is not required, but is a plus.

Discord Admin (in training)

We're looking for someone who'd be able to help moderate the official discord of the game! You will need to familiarize yourself with how we run the server and be able to enforce the rules fairly. Discord admins are able to apply to become in-game admins for the multiplayer mode after proving they're reliable.

As this is a fan project, please keep in mind this is volunteer work! Nobody is earning any money from this game, as it's a project made with love for Undertale and its community.

Since it's a fan project, I'm not too strict on deadlines. After all, this should be all about having fun! However, if there is a deadline to be hit, you'll be given plenty of notice, so there will never be a case where you have less than a week or two to work on something after first receiving the task.

DF is a relatively small team, and since I handle the programming and writing for the game on my own, it's a pretty casual environment and you'll only be asked to create something when its needed during that point in development. Sometimes it may be a while between tasks, so don't worry if you're thinking you have to invest a ton of time into working on the game, because you won't constantly be getting asked to do stuff left and right! However, you will still be expected to respond when a new task is given, and provide updates on its progress when asked. This game can't be made without your support!

How do I apply?

In order to apply, you'll need to be a member of the Discord server! The link to join is at the top of the GameJolt page's description!

On the server, you'll need to find my profile (I should be at the top of the user list if I'm online), and send me a private message with your application. Your application should be a word or notepad file (although you can type it directly into discord if you want) with the following information:

- Your prefered name (it can be a nickname, like a shorter version of your username, or it can be your first name, or you can just leave it as your username if you'd prefer to use that.)

- Your age (must be over the age of 13!)

- The role you're applying for.

- A brief description of yourself; your hobbies, interests, etc. You could also tell us how long you've known about DF or where you first heard about it.

- Why you want to be a member of the team.

- Any past experience working on Undertale fan-games, or any past experience in general.

- Examples of your work, if applying for a spriter role. (if using notepad, these can be sent along with the notepad doc on discord.)

When's the deadline for applications?

The deadline for applications is 12 PM EST / 5 PM GMT on January 7th! Please have your applications completed and sent to me via DM anytime between now and that time. My discord DMs will be open ONLY during this period. Please do not message me for anything other than submitting your application.
