Top, Spit it:
One thing Haiden/Lucas discovers early on, when he and Ashley are in Lake/Harlan's clutches, is that the Wraith can actually eat like he can. Unfortunately, the wraith's dietary needs are vastly different to his own, normal food doesn't seem to be enough to satisfy the animatronics new appetite.
Haiden/Lucas theorises with Ashley that its because that the giant Wraith version of Lake/Harlan is demonic in origin. Lake/Harlan absorbed the Handshaker's power when the device malfunctioned and the result was the giant wraith now terrorising Montreal.
Luckily, Lake/Harlan seems to listen to Haiden to a certain extent so it's up to him to try discipline and discourage the giant, demonic animatronic. Probably because Lucas is actually the eldest of the three, being 25 when he was reincarnated and 18 when he possessed Haiden.
Middle, Den:
Lake/Harlan doesn't like anyone disturbing the sanctuary he made for his chosen family, in short he doesn't like anyone at all except for Ashley, Haiden, Ashley's parents and the other animatronics.
Sometimes though, a simple threat display isn't enough to discourage anyone foolish enough to approach the safe haven he created. If they persist then he gets increasingly hostile and aggressive until... well... then he has to issue punishment. Usually said punishment is of the lethal variety.
He keeps the aftermath of the punishments away from Ashley and Haiden, they don't need to see that.
Bottom, Anger:
Oscar Magwood ends up collaborating with Montreal's police force and military in order to try capture the Wraith for either study or disposal. They strike while Lake/Harlan is out looking for food to feed Ashley and Haiden, having left them back at the nest despite his constant paranoia over their safety.
Unfortunately for the convoy, the giant animatronic is too strong for them and what's more they learn the horrible truth behind the identity of the demonic force Lake possesses. Lake/Harlan is enraged at his grandfather for all the suffering he inflicted and condemning him to a life of misery and an afterlife possessing an animatronic he created. But currently he's too consumed by fear for his chosen families safety that he refrains from lashing out and frantically makes his way back to the nest, leaving Oscar with the horrible truth of what Harlan has become.
Only when the Wraith gets back he finds his nest empty, his family is gone, a Special OPS team had been sent in secret to rescue steal them.
His heartbroken scream slowly becomes one of rage...

Looks like this plotline I had has become its own Au, I don't know how to feel about this... meh. Might as well go all in on this, my "Together Again: Galaxy's Edge" comics take a while to digitally draw after all...
Like my Haunted Haiden drawings, these are entirely out of order, I might put them in a cohesive order later on down the line but for now I'm too lazy to do so.
