Three years ago, I began developing Late Night Technician. I was just 14 at the time with a bunch of big ideas, but with little experience in game development. I thought it would be easy. Spoiler: it wasn’t.
About a year ago, I hit a wall and decided to pause development. During that break, I spent time learning, diving deeper into Blender, improving my understanding of game design, and figuring out what it really takes to make a game.
In this time I have also made 2 smaller games for school projects which I am really proud of.
Roughly a month and a half ago, we officially restarted Late Night Technician, this time from scratch. Development has been moving much faster since then. We’ve reworked several aspects of the game to make it more achievable for the small team we have, and we’re excited about the direction it’s heading.
More updates are on the way. I can’t give a specific timeline just yet, but they’re coming soon.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you’ll stick with us as we continue to share more about the development of Late Night Technician.
