Steel Skirmish: Online Multiplayer Tank Shooter
2 years ago

Hello everyone! Update 1.2.0 has released for my online tank shooter, Steel Skirmish. This update adds support for the Game Jolt API and adds trophies, stats, and leaderboards. Check it out!

Hello everyone! Update 1.2.0 has released and introduces a variety of exciting changes!

  • Statistics: The game now includes basic statistic tracking such as total battles fought and win rate. Your stats can be accessed via a new button in the main menu. Show off to your friends how good or dedicated you are!

  • Leaderboards: Your best battles and your lifetime score are now sent to online leaderboards with other players. See how you perform against the community! Note that you can opt-out of having your scores be sent to the leaderboards if you wish.

  • Trophies: The game now includes 15 trophies of varying difficulties that you can unlock. Fill up your collection and earn Game Jolt EXP!

  • Slightly improved the AI.

  • When the host self-declares an end to the match, a winner is no longer declared; battles are marked as "abandoned" instead.

  • Made other small changes.

Please note that while your name and settings will automatically transfer to the new version, your game progress will not. If you want to carry your coins total and your unlocked tanks from a previous version over to the new version, you will need to copy the file "5a29f70b.txt" in the "SteelSkirmish_Data" folder from the old version into the respective folder in the new version. I apologize for this inconvenience.

If anything breaks while playing, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Enjoy, and have fun!

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

Another house i made long time ago.

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6…).

These are background sprites I've created for a game I'm working on at school ^w^ Click on the post to see how the sprites connect. You won't regret it! (personally, I think it's pretty heheh)

Today I tackled drawing different variations of facial expressions for one of the main characters in Eden. What do you think of it? :) Eden: https://gamejolt.com/games/Eden/592698
