Where have i been?
It's been awhile, sorry for my sudden absence. Lots of stuff had gotten in my way during development of dawn causing me to be in a year long burn out. Again terribly sorry for what happened, school, drama, a breakup, and overall depression got me pretty good, it discourage me from doing anything so i was just rotting in bed all day long. Since then, i've been slightly recovering and having the motivation to work on a game, slightly but i do think i'll be able to enter back in the world of game development sooner or later. The thing is i'll probably take development more slowly so i won't get burnt out and be mentally drained again so quickly, so in this article I'll just talk about what's to come for when i actually do get back to working on games!
What will i be working on?
Well, i have 2 games in mind for when i come back, Dawn and maybe a Five Nights At Red's game? Yes, you heard it right, a FNAR game in the big '25? Some of you guys might remember what FNAR was at one point and the reason of why in the hell would i make another Red's game after i've been complaining about it for almost 3 years now? Well i was just never happy how the game ended and how it was built all those years ago, i always thought it had potential but i never, ever could execute it right.. never could. So once i actually start working on the game i could finish what i started, giving the game its proper goodbye. I will redesign all of the characters since well i might've given them out to a person on scratch because i didn't want red classic super sonic and pirate classic tails, they'll have an original designs, a actual story, interesting mechanics i don't know what else, this project is in very, VERY early development so don't expect it anytime soon. Onto Dawn, i'm going to re-work the game from the ground up since i'm not that happy with its current story, designs and mechanics. I'm unsure what the new version of Dawn will be, and this time i'm going to get help from a few people to actually make a decent idea for the game so it won't entirely flop, hopefully i'll finish the game at the end of 2026, or possibly 2027. Don't worry the main antagonist of Dawn won't be replaced, that's all i have to say for Dawn for now until i make some progress and have information to share.
Devlogs?
Devlogs will be changing for the sake of not spoiling the entire game! Devlogs will change to where i went from talking about every single detail to only talking about the appetizer and not the main course. What i mean by that is that i'm mainly going to talk about the technical stuff like code, bugs, design, api's basically everything besides what is actually going to happen like in-game events and cutscene, character design maybe reveal one and the story since i really don't like spoiling the game that i spent 2 years on. So yeah, that is what's going to happen for now on and i'll occasionally release teasers, they'll just show things i haven't show in devlog but they'll just be rooms and sections and maybe that revealed character, that's a future me problem but if you guys would like to see those type of teasers please let me know in the comments please, love interacting with all of you guys!
DLC content?
I have decided to remove and scrap aton of DLC content including new story's or skins, when it comes to skins i'm not going to add a lot like maybe 2 skins and one mini story that shouldn't take too long to do, looking back at "Survive Till Dawn" There was so much planned and i mainly focused on additional content then the actual game itself so by limiting additional content, it'll help me focus. If people aren't to happy with the DLC i'll happily rework the DLC to make it better or want any additional DLC or skins, but you guys just gotta give me time since development will be slower, i refuse to add more then 2 DLC story's in Project_newdawn but unsure about skins, their probably not going to be special and are just a fun little thing to make during my free time.
Conclusion
I have said everything that is needed to be said, cannot wait to get back into developing games once more and interact with my community, or what's left of it.
