HELP WANTED!
Read article for information

Hi. This is QSV speaking.

So, Tales of Underlegends has received quite the praise and the hype is built up, which I'm really excited about. And thanks to anyone who shared this idea around, it really means a lot.

However, I originally had the intention of making the entire game all by myself... which proved to be too big of a challenge for me currently due to my skills in other areas besides spriting, coding and assembly.

I lack a lot of musical skill in the Undertale field, and I have tried to make something good without cringing at my work, which in itself is very hard to do. Every time I start a new song, I throw it in the garbage about 4% of the way through, because I either don't like it or I don't see how it could possibly fit the scene it is meant for. I already have some public OST on my SoundCloud, but that is purely from muscle memory and I struggle greatly with original compositions.

I've already had two other musicians make stuff for the game (no names, one of them was for an AU they were creating but it didn't fit so I asked if I could use it and they agreed), and their results are far better than what I'm capable of currently.

I never paid attention in music class, and I've always wanted to learn it all over again from scratch, but due to my age I struggle to understand it (apparently you have to start in your youth if you want to get good at it).

I have made some original compositions from 2015-2018, but those were for rhythm game charts and they are TERRIBLE (I will not provide them for obvious reasons), plus they were not in the chiptune-orchestral style that the Undertale game has. That, and I lack the money to buy some proper VSTs, and I don't support piracy so that's not an option either.

I have done the entire story for the game, written out dialogue for Chapters 1, 2 and 3, and I have sprited everything so far (I took art classes in college, while my skill is pretty scant right now I will improve overtime as it is part of my job now).

So why am I making this post to address all of my issues? I'm looking for MUSICIANS... or at least people who can teach me how Undertale music is made if they cannot spare time to make any or if I have to pay (I don't have any transaction methods without handing out very risky details).

That's all I need. I can handle everything else myself. It's just the musical area I have trouble with.

I want to make this game the best it can be, I'm already receiving a lot of hype and requests for the game so I'm trying my hardest to do so. I initially aimed to get at least ONE demo out before the end of the year when I started this project, but at my current pace, due to work and life, it's facing an unknown release time. It could take me until 2023 if I didn't make this post, it's more of a call for help if anything... actually, as I'm writing this, make that 2024.

Thanks for reading, and have fun being Underlegends!
