Emi was born into a decent family although her mother unfortunately died shortly after giving birth to emi was born, leaving her with her father who turned into a not so good person, he would shout and get into arguments with Emi which gave her aniexty because he would sometimes get verbal and he would abuse her mentally and emotionally even though he was hurting from his wife’s death he would sometimes burn cigarettes buffs on her legs because he “missed the ash tray” or as punishment on emi’s legs so she has some burn marks despite all of that she still loves her dad and they do spend time together he even took her to an arcade once when she was 12 but she knows his anger only comes from grieving.

Emi is quite smart and enjoys reading when she can, when she went into shujin academy she was on her schools gymnastic team before quitting due to kamoshidas abuse and comments about “how well she did”, after he turned himself into the police she has planned to rejoin gymnastics. She knows Ann and ryuji from normal lessons and knows ryuji because he stood up for her one time and has been grateful since, she would be nice to the protagonist because she feels bad for him being judged because of his reason of transferring to shujin.

Personality:

Emi is a very shy but kind hearted person she often keeps to herself but she does have her moments of confidence like going up to the protagonist and ryuji and speaking to them even though she had a panic attack, (the protagonist, ryuji and ann are her only friends) she has admitted to ann and protagonist that she likes ryuji for some strange reason (and she gets extremely anxious and nervous around him.

one you get to know her she can be quite talkative and confident and compassionate, you can always tell if she’s comfortable around you or considers you a friend if she changes her posture to be more relaxed and her hand gestures and overall attitude
