This is the New Famicom. It was released in 1993 while the Super Famicom was out. The reason why it was made is because some people in the 90s couldn't afford a Super Famicom, and the original Famicom didn't have AV output, making it even less accessible. So Nintendo released this to help. Because of its easy peasy setup, this console is sought after by collectors. I managed to get mine and it was actually really cheap. Just made the best purchase I'll probably ever have: a complete, in box copy of 「Shin Megami Tensei if...」for the Super Famicom, with two official, in depth guide through books to go along with it. This is gonna be great!
