The Changing of Game Engine
So, a while ago I made the decision to switch game engines to Unity; as opposed to GameMaker Studio. This decision meant I would have to transfer all the content from Pulseless into the new engine... which is what I've been doing for the past few months. As a result of this decision, the final game, I believe, will run way smoother and look incredibly more appealing. Additionally, features such as online multiplayer and larger arenas will also be achievable.
Ammo and Reloading
Another major decision was the addition of ammo and reloading. This addition means weapons now have a limited number of bullets they can fire before they must be reloaded. This was added to assist in balancing the game into a more challenging state (as opposed to constantly spraying an endless number of bullets ).
The Five Maps
In addition to the classic procedurally generated map, there will now be five handcrafted maps within the Steam Release of the game. These will contain unique boss battles, original music tracks and secret weapon upgrades. Stay tuned for further details! There will also be a new Campaign Mode to connect all them together.
Thanks so much for following the development of the game! There will be more frequent updates about progress and new features within the coming months!
