high School Week Nº 3:

ㅤㅤThe least skilled artist among the skilled artists

"Then there also that kid, Yang--"

ㅤㅤThe Chemistry teacher "explaining" Avatar: The last air bender

MONDAY 26/02

ㅤㅤMy register for the school's library was done, so I went there to borrow some books and I noticed how they do have Rodrick Rules. Someone might just have borrowed it last time and that someone might be going through the Diary of Wimpy Kid books they have, based on the fact that The Last Straw was now the one missing. Anyway, for the first books I decided to borrow, I chose Alice Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-glass and a chemistry book for personal studies.

TUESDAY 27/02

ㅤㅤHad to change lockers, because I couldn't lock mine. The locker I got was bit locker, probably due to being forced open at some point, and was still able to be opened with the padlocks I had tried using. I tested one of my classmates' and it was able to lock the locker, but, since the biggest padlock I had was still smaller than his, I still had to give up the locker with "cum", or "com", written in it for another one that I could lock with my padlock.

ㅤㅤIn Art class, after the teacher was done with the lesson, I walked to his desk, hoping most people wouldn't be able to listen my question, and asked his what were his thoughts on digital art. Aside from responding me in a volume even the classrooms nearby could listen, he said how he find it interesting and how it showed that there are multiple ways to make art even if with things that weren't created for art. He later asked if I knew or was a digital artist and I responded that I've been one since 2019. He was intrigued by that and then asked me to send or show him one of my drawing… in class… for them to see… Didn't quite like the idea, but I guess I'll have to draw something just to show in class, as I don't think it would be a good idea to show any of my already made art in class… or he could also forget about it, who knows?

ㅤㅤAfter class, I was walking along side my classmates on the way out of the of the school. One of them jumped to touch a leaf on a tree. Another one commented about it and then was later asked to do the same, as she was the shortest, despite being above 1.62m, and then she touched the lowest leaf on the tree. Then the tallest one effortlessly touched another leaf which was much higher, but then, in my outstandingly common moment of retardness, decided to jump the highest I could in order to touch the highest leaf possible. I didn't feel as it the jump I did were comparable to the jumps I was used to doing when playing Volleyball, although it still somewhat impressed my classmates, but thing I didn't noticed was how the leaves on the tree were actually pretty sharp. After walking a bit, I look at my wrist and notice blood coming out of it, which was enough to show how trying to show off in never worth it. Unlike the school I was in last year, which would've probably told me they've got no ice, this school actually has a medical center. I went there and explained that I've cut myself with a plant, without mentioning how I managed to do that, and then got inside one of the rooms to get my wound treated. The leaf didn't cut any veins, but I was expecting the would to be a little bad, based on the amount of blood that was around it, but when I got it washed it just turned out to be a small little hole in my wrist. I was also expecting to feel it burn once chemicals were about to be applied on it, but I just legitimately felt nothing. The person who treated the wound later gave me a band-aid, wrote down my name and then I was free to go.

WEDNESDAY 28/02

ㅤㅤAt General Chemistry class, I somehow said something really smart, regarding a method to separate salt from water, but then immediately followed it up with a demonstration of my lack of smart in Biology class, where the teacher asked us to use our phones to browse through a site, which got everyone mesmerized about it while I was trying to figure out what the first letter of the site's name.

ㅤㅤAt launch, we started getting given tickets, similar to the ones the school I was in last year gave when the launch was something special, like meat sauce sandwiches, but they were just so we could go upstairs to the cafeteria. They might be to prevent people from cutting line, but I'm unsure, as I was given one when I entered line from the point where my classmates were and not the back.

THURSDAY 29/02

ㅤㅤWe were invited to watch a presentation about bullying, which makes the total of presentation about bullying I've watched 3. We were for some reason asked to sit in chairs arranged in a giant circle, with a big empty space in the middle. I brought a book with me to the auditory and, before the presentation began, 3 of my classmates and me decided to plat Uno. One of them decided to use the book as support for the cards, of which was in my lap and that alone made a frightening experience whenever someone was going to slam a card. We only had time to finish one match though, as the presentation had started and they first showed a short movie about bullying, which was in Portugal Portuguese, of which is really different from Brazilian Portuguese. We were later asked to stand up in relation to the circle made with the chairs in the room, but I didn't bother and just remained in my seat reading. Then one of the presenters walked up to me and told me to stand up. I remained silent in my seat while looking at her, and I then felt as if she thought I was deaf, based on the fact that she later started doing gestures. She then gave up and moved on onto the presentation, while I was learning things like how the density of liquids is measured using a hydrometer. I know bullying is an important topic, especially at schools, but I have seen so much about it already… but that does not mean you can make me do a resume of 30 lines about that.

FRIDAY 01/02

ㅤㅤAfter Geography class, I decided to try showing my art to the teacher, more especially, my webcomic… except my mobile data ran out when I was about to show him and I couldn't even load the first issue. But the teacher also told me about the other artists around the school. He mentioned that he could also introduce me to them anytime, which would be nice to personally meet some other artists, but I'm honestly a bit afraid of doing that, as he described them as if they were absolute professionals. And I can't even draw an acceptable looking circle 97.2% of the time.

Sorry for any potential spelling or grammatical errors.

This is being posted a day late because I dedicated Saturday and Sunday to finishing some homework and the Statistics assignment, which, by the fact that it took me 2 days to not even finish them all, is a lot. Also, didn't like the Statistics teacher. To keep things simple, her assignment involved answering questions about Statistics and where it's applied, which doesn't sound like much, if you don't take the fact that the research for it couldn't use any site and only books and articles.

2nd time I'm somehow mentioning Super Negative in here. 3rd if you count this one.
