uhhhhhhhhhh yeah let's get right into it!!!
Game Progress
So, how's general progress on the game going in general? General general general.
Let me start off by saying every character for the main gameplay has been coded, including every shop character. This is, of course, aside from proper balancing since the full version has yet to be beta tested. But besides final balancing and some minor issues like layering, they are all coded and function as intended!
A good amount of skins have been done too, though there are a few more to work on. Speaking of skins, there won't be too many in the initial release (some characters only have one), though I intend to introduce more skins in future updates. Skins are awesome, but they shouldn't be too big of a focus, and I don't want to go insane with them before the game is released and make the game take even longer y'know?
There's still a bit to do, and next on my plate is the Finale. But, the game is still going strong, and thanks to you all, I am as motivated as ever to see it through!
???
There's something I have never tried before with any of my games, and it seems like there's interest in me doing it. I, of course, am also interested in trying this...
I will be attempting to add GameJolt API to Night at Nuggit's! This will allow you to sign in and earn trophies for your account alongside the in-game achievements!
I've got people to help me with this (hi @thatdoggocalledray ), so hopefully this will work out!
Changes to Difficulties
In a previous devlog, I've mentioned the Base Difficulties feature. This feature would adapt the difficulties of each night to your skill level. So for example, picking the easiest difficulty would make any normal or hard night easier.
That doesn't... really... make sense though, does it?
So, instead of each night having it's own difficulty, the nights will only state it's time speed, and you will select the difficulty of the entirety of Story Mode separately.
And I understand the game can be kinda overwhelming for those who are not as experienced with FNaF styled games. Because of this, Breezy should be a great option as it's planned to tone down the difficulty a good bit. You could play the entire Story Mode in Breezy, then switch to Spicy for extra rewards and challenge! Who knows? Your choice! Weeeee!
ok bye
That's all for this progress update! Thanks for tuning in, can't wait to get more stuff out to y'all!!
