*it's been years since Frisk became the only person to ever leave the underground. they didn't free the monsterkind, they didn't destroy them either. they just... left, destroying everyone's hopes and dreams of a better future.
*but now yet another, 9th human falls into the underground. their name, very conveniently, is Chara and now the whole worlds future is in their hands (and, unlike Frisk, they can't escape the fate.) even upon first seeing Chara, you will notice something very off about them: their soul is grey. not any of the existing color variations, not even white, to assume what they have no strong personality trait. gray. they don't know why either. and now is time for Chara to figure out why.
