I did #ExploreTheOutskirts with Knightling and Magnus.
Do I recommend you do the same? Sure!
I had more videos and screenshots to share but due to Gamejolt's limits I can't share them with you...
Anyway, here's a full review of my experience with it!

So I Played The Knightling and It Was A Wild Ride!

An Atmosphere to Die For (Not Literally)

The first thing that hit me was the soundtrack—truly electrifying! It's the kind of music that makes feel like you're the hero of the story, I really loved it. The atmospheric blend of sounds pulls you in and won’t let go. The graphics? Well, let's just say it's like #Zelda and #Genshin had a beautiful baby.

Gameplay Mechanics: The Captain America game I never thought I want

Oh, the gameplay! I felt like Captain America—if he had a magic shield that let him zip around like a sugar-high squirrel. The mechanics were so unexpected and creative, I half expected my controller to start doing cartwheels (I used a keyboard for the most part, though). The shield travel is not only fun, but also a brilliant twist that caught me off guard.
I'm sure with the gliding mechanics it will get even better and with that skill-tree I've witnessed, big things are coming up!

Combat: A Bit of a Double-Edged Sword

Combat is solid, but it could use a bit more…depth? They could add some more combos or a #Sekiro-like deflect system. Right now, it’s like your favorite pizza missing that perfect topping—still good, but not quite there.

Puzzles and World: Room for Creativity

The puzzles? Decent, but I think they could crank up the creativity dial a notch or two. And after a few hours, the world feels a bit too empty—like going to a party and realizing you're the only one who showed up. Some animals, lively details, or even a few friendly NPCs would really help.

Keeping Things Fresh

Speaking of keeping things alive, how about throwing in some world quests, mini-games, and side activities? Trust me, you can never go wrong with a game of virtual hopscotch. This would add so much replayability and keep players coming back for more.

The Story: A World of Wonders

The storyline so far seems alright—nothing too earth-shattering, but it does spark curiosity about the world, makes me thirsty to explore . As long as it keeps me wandering and pondering, I'm in!

Andddd... The Shield's Personality

Can we talk about the shield for a second? It needs to be more…reactive! I mean, sure he has given his comments here and there when you die or spot some outlaws, but imagine if it had witty quips and sassy comebacks. Now that would be a game-changer!

Final Thoughts: Waiting for the Full Release

Can't wait for the full release. The gaming world really needed a fresh, innovative title like this. Could be the start of something amazing!

  • Sadly I can't buy the game due to my location
But I would if I could, and I think you should be doing the same! happy with the demo and I'm waiting for what's next!

I couldn't play a lot during 2024 due to “The Konkour Arc”, but #MyGOTY is #DEADBOLT If I have to choose between games that came out in 2024 I'd probably pick up: #Persona 3: Reload or #Slay_The_Princess - The Pristine Cut (first pic artist @quilleart )
