we can agree on one thing: most people drawing dusttrust draws the hoodie around the waist in a style like so (body is merely there for the example)
we can see this example in the very popular underswap: thanatos (+ project pre-leak), as well as many other underswap sprites where the hoodie is wrapped around the waist, examples:
also found in distrust sans sprites:
+ another example from slim survival (who for some reason has underswap's hoodie when it's not underswap):
and now, your honor, i would like to introduce Exhibit P: papyrus from underswap + the hoodie separately:
call it a hoodie, call it a sweater, call it a jacket, i don't care
NOW TELL ME FOLKS, WHEEEEEERE IS THE GAP?!
actually, don't answer, because i have the solution for you!
THE GAP IS NOT REAl !!!!!!!!!!!!!
what we can also agree on, is that this right here is the sleeves of said hoodie (colored red):
so what this means, is that the hoodie drawn around the waist should be drawn as if the hoodie was hugging sans as the sleeves are going around like a hug
but what could this possibly mean i ponder...
it means y'all made the same mistake with the non existant gap in the hoodie
why? my theory is you guys mistaken it for a cape or something
so here's how a hoodie would actually appear behind sans (or whatever other character you wanna draw it on):
both versions, pocket facing inwards or outwards, your choice
point is, the big gap drawn on every sprite doesn't exist, and you can't exactly say it's the shadow because of the snappy corners drawn EVERYWHERE
so in theory, the hoodies should actually be filled instead of hollow
how did i notice this? i got bored
if you have anything to say, don't be shy, leave a comment
that was holden: out!
