Although underrated and still not complete yet, Witch's Heart is an incredible Rpgmaker game in terms of writing, story, and characters. The game focuses more in it's story than it's gameplay.

I'll be breaking down the pros and cons of the game to show you more of what the game is like!

PROS OF WITCH'S HEART

1. STORY

   • The story is well made and well explained throughout your time playing it. Nothing important in the story is being left out, everything is clearly explained in the end. The story may surprise you at times, and leaves bits and pieces of context for you to piece together and understand.

2. CHARACTERS

   

   • The characters are very well written, whatever actions they do, whatever morals they stick with, why their personality is like that and so on, is justified; and is given a clear context as to why they're like that.

     The characters are enjoyable and memorable too, and stuff gets really interesting once you see their side of the story/scenario.

3. DIALOGUE

   • The dialogue is incredibly well written too, it hits pretty deep at times. Some scenarios are executed really well because of how the characters interact with each other. The game also knows how to perfectly balance the dialogue in scenarios that are funny, emotional, dark, etc.

4. VISUALS

   

   • All the art shown in the game is pleasant to look at! They really express the feeling of the scenes where they appear at wonderfully, and some artworks are also cute and silly

     The spritework, regardless of how basic it looks, is pretty good! The maps are quite charming as well, some have a pretty unique vibe to it...

CONS OF WITCH'S HEART

1. GAMEPLAY

   • The gameplay is what Witch's Heart mostly lacks. Majority of the gameplay involves solving side quests to progress through the story.

     There's also boss fights as well, but they're not very challenging to beat.

2. LENGTH

   • The game is currently split into 3 parts: The Prologue (which includes 4 routes/scenarios), The Bonus Stage, and Sirius' Conclusion (there's still 3 other Conclusions that's yet to come).

     The average time to complete everything is around 20 hours in total (I think? I didn't really keep in track of the time that well but it is quite long)

TIPS FOR THOSE PLAYING THE GAME

1. If you're not sure what to do, you can always ask for a hint in the menu, someone will be providing you assistance...

   If you're still not sure what to do, you can always check the game's official site for a walkthrough!

2. Check everywhere and examine your surroundings. The area where the game takes place at isn't very big and you may miss some side quests!

3. Buy healing items from time to time, you'll definitely want to save some in case something happens.
