I posted another short TMA game. A small sequel to the one I posted for the first time on GameJolt. If you would like to experience a 2.5D overhead-gunplay experience, then look no further than this link: https://cocrea.world/@Papichi05/Tech-Magical_Attraction-The_Rise_of_Computers.

The first game I released was this one:

But in itch.io, Scratch Game Jam #3, it got positive reception from the GameJolt audience, but the overall reception was a mixed to negative. My game was praised for its visual and character design but was largely criticized for the harsh difficulty was caused by the poor design.

Because of that, my game got in 7th place, and worse, the "enjoyment" criteria got the lowest score, which I'm very unhappy to see that. Though, the criticism of my bad game design and the difficulty were valid. And also, the 1 star rating was the 2nd most voted out of the 5, ouch...

And it's not only my game that didn't get a good score, but it was also the game genre itself, which is the platformer. In the Gandi IDE Discord server, someone opened up a poll, asking which game genre was the worst, and guess what? The "platformer" criteria were the most voted, and the "shooting" criteria was the 2nd most voted. I have discovered that platformers were generally hated, and I did some a bit research and apparently, the difficulty was the main reason why people hate platformers. No wonder...

So instead, I decided to make an overhead-shooter game for Gandi's Scratch Game Jam #4 on itch.io. You can now shoot and aim at 8 directions, and guess what? You get to have the ability to chat with an AI bot. You read that right, AI is now possible on Scratch.

I also tried to reduce some difficulty and add some generic enemies so that things don't get too messy. Another new feature I added is that each enemy drops chips where you can purchase them on upgrades.

So, there you have it. If you would like to experience a 2.5D overhead-gunplay experience, then look no further than these links:

Surfing around the Microsoft Store to check on updates and just found this random Scratch app that came out half a year ago.

Not only do they included AI, but they also just casually included a subscription service just for you to use the core functions.

I'll give people the option to enable or disable flashing lights as there is some enough in the game. Most people probably won't touch it, but you still have this option.

Microsoft is now technically trying to convince people on why AI on almost everything is a good thing with their new "Second Thought" series.

This just proves my point that they have an entirely different vision on this tech than the rest of us.

The final boss...

Got direct inspiration from Akaza, too, for this specific pose.

Testing out a new move! This move is for all characters

Here’s a 5 minute showcase of the final boss I have made so far. Took me about a couple of days to do all of the animation and code.

Spent a whole 5 minutes on this (using a Surface Pen).

I'm having more confidence over time.
