I've stopped working on this game, but have moved onto another PSX style project that will use a lot of what I learned from this game there.

Next up

Making the new player model, got the mesh done, it's inspired by the Leon model in RE2 1998. It's 832 tris, the head takes up a lot which is annoying but it works and I'll probably end up changing it later down the line anyways. On to texturing.

Here's where the game is at right now, got a long way to go. Currently this is about one week into development.

Here's a small video of the current state of the game, very basic, just connecting to others and shooting them. Quick example of the respawn system etc, the boring stuff. The gun model is cool though, made that 2 days ago. Going to add more guns today.

This is the start of my devlogs for my online PvP PSX style game! The project is very much in its infancy but it will only get better, the foundation netcode and boring stuff is mostly done, so each devlog will bring major updates.

Updated the gun system to now support ADSing with smooth camera FOV changes. Added medkits as the foundation for the consumables system. Increased the recoil on the AR as it is halved when ADSing.

Enemies can also suddenly spawn through Realm Rifts. These Rift Spawns are going to be stronger than the ones wandering around. TBD on the enemies... #screenshotsaturday #godstear #madewithunity
