If you’re creating a platformer, or something similar, would you rather create a 2D or a 2.5D viewing angle?

For me, I personally think 2.5D is a better perspective view for me as I have believed that I have grew out of the 2D viewing angle. I mean, I find it a little generic, but it wholly depends on what kind of games it is.

You remember this? My old game from 2021? It was at a 2D view angle. And as I have improved over the years, and as soon as I played Contra and other similar games, I have been mind blown of this level design detail, but I only discovered this about a year ago or 2.

So, when I was creating Tech-Magical Attraction, I put in the 2.5D angle view, and tbh, it feels a lot less generic than I thought it going to be.

This may require more work to do than plain 2D but it gives the visual design more detail. However, not all games benefit from this. If it doesn’t fit well, then might as well just go back to plain 2D.

What do you think? What are your opinions? Which view perspective one is your favorite?

Rare W of Microsoft.

Watermarks is something I always do and encourage. Even if I post some AI images here before, I do that very rarely.

I really hope this person is aware of what Nintendo will do to anyone who makes fan projects like this.

There's a big reason why I never included any Nintendo-related references or even sounds in any of my games.

Ufotable is making a Genshin Impact anime production, the same studio from Demon Slayer.

Holy shoot.

The Scratch Team has just recently updated their Terms of Service yesterday, letting you know they now have full permission to use your content to train AI models.

I just recently discovered MistWarp, which is a fork of TurboWarp that really has very good amount of additional options and customization.

UI changes is something I always wanted because I grew tired of Scratch's vanilla UI designs.

Also yeah, new scene.

Ricky Rabbit's Seasonal Flavoritiez! Season 3 Episode 13 (Wet Dry roundabout)

Pretty strange that some portions of the game have no voice acting to some extent.

I'm 90% sure other people skip a lot of dialogues because of how unfathomably HUGE this game is.

So, apparently, TM-Attraction: TGF is broken on Microsoft Edge. I haven't changed anything in the game, either.

Though, it still works on Opera GX, so just letting people know. Use different browsers if you're playing this.

Testing out a new move! This move is for all characters

Really glad changes like this are rolling out.
