Introducing map-based Climate

Happy to share that I’ve been working on some solid ideas to take this game forward!

I’ll talk about one today and others later as they get implemented.

So now the map has a concept of “poles” and climate that varies according to the latitude. Near the north and south poles, you get ice, and in equator a lot more heat (desert). This has direct influence on the simulation and each tiles “win” over others. Like this it will be nicer to create spots for certain life forms. The map is still infinite, but going up or down will just get you ice Smiley

Two new tiles have been introduced: Ice and Tundra. Which means I’ll also introduce 2 or 3 new animal species soon to make this their habitat Smiley

here’s a small gif scrolling from the north pole to the equator

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

Out of boredom and curiosity, I coded Sailor Jupiter's Argentine Backbreaker.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

It's now possible to destroy some of the obstacles and gain access to new locations or create shortcuts. #gamedev #indiegame #rpg

Hello my space friends! Now I added a space background to the ship. I love that space look but I still feel like stuff is missing. The lighting on the ship needs some improvements I think. Please tell me your opinion!
