It looks like Jagex is about to have its 4th owner in 8 years: CVC Capital Partners is looking to close a $1.1 billion deal to acquire the studio behind RuneScape. 👀 They're changing hands about as much as I change my underwear.

I really hope that, if they are sold off to this new company, that Jagex can continue its growth and the development of RuneScape can continue. I may not play the game as much as I once did, but it still holds a very special place in my heart as being my first experience with an MMO. While I might not agree with the directions it has taken over the years, there's no denying the appeal of playing RuneScape even today.

You can make around 1m or more gold by unaliving chickens in RuneScape north of Lumbridge and storing the loot in the bank chest just to the south. It's a no-brainer if you need gold fast, and pretty much anyone can do it from the very beginning.
