It's my 5th #spawnday + News about the game!


First of all, this image right here is multiple sketches of some of the drawings seen in the final game (some are terrible, but I think that's where the fun of sharing them comes from) some are just unrelated stuff that I made out of pure boredom and weren't meant to be used in the game at any point.

I used to have more, but I have no idea where they went. I may have just deleted them. Some have a fake transparent background (you love to see it) because I only had them saved as screenshots for some reason.

You can probably tell at what time during development they were made based on how good or bad they look, lol


Anyway... I was around 12 when I first joined this website, and now I'm almost 18 (well, not until December)... I miss my innocence, honestly.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather live in a bubble and have no worries than knowing everything that's going on and being miserable all the time.

Btw, is it just me, or have people on the internet gotten ruder and rudder as the years go by? I remember when I joined everyone was very nice but now it feels like most people are more self-entitled.

I don't know, it may just be me.


Well, let's just talk about the game news:

Remember that a month or so ago I had plans to recode the gameplay frame of this game? I ended up choosing not do so the next day, but...

I've decided to come back to that plan! And I've been making really good progress!

All of the basics have been finished along with all 3 characters. Pretty much the only thing left is to fix some bugs here and there, mostly related to the doors and the ambiences.

This update will not only be a recode, but it'll also add a scrapped feature from the first release: the options menu.

The only one that isn't coming back is the Youtuber Mode. It was quite buggy and at the end of the day I don't think it was really worth the effort.


The cheats have also been reworked, instead of being toggeable through hotkeys they're now activated through the extras menu, like originally planned.

This was the first game that I ever coded (or the first... anything, for that matter) and so it was held together by duct tape and a dream.

I decide to come back to the recode because my babies deserved better 🤭

Not only that but as I said originally it would also be good practice for if I ever want to make more slop in the future.

Which, speaking of more slop, I don't have plans for any right now, except for one thing that I'll talk about in another post later today (it's not exactly another new game though)


That is all for now! This won't take *too* long to release, hopefully. All that's left is betatesting, but I'm feeling L A Z Y.

Next up

So... it's been a week and my "looking for programmer" post went pretty much unnoticed. I was kinda expecting that already.

It was pretty obvious I wouldn't find anyone by sitting around doing nothing but letting the time pass.

It's only been around a week since the game released and I already completely forgot about its existence LOL
