KICK-BELL DEVELOPMENT UPDATE:

All of the new stages for world 1 are complete! ^^ I'm going to be working on getting to world 2's stages next! And then I can continue making the next 3 worlds.

Current Plans:

Before getting to world 2, I plan on adding a power up system! This is a way to add a bit more variety to the game, as well as adding a character select system! ^^

I also ran into a really bad glitch during development that crashes windows 😵‍💫

Working on trying to patch that and see what's causing it, but that will be fixed before I put out an updated demo!

Other than that one bug, development is going smoothly, and I hope to have an updated demo out (as well as the full release) soon ^^

The SAGE 2025 Demo for KICK-BELL is NOW AVAILABLE!!

I hope you can enjoy the demo as much as I had fun creating it!! ^^

Today I added the ability to choose your own character, instead of having them be set to the player number.

In addition to this, I've also added some unlock-able ones! (four of them shown in the post) ^^

I added the ability to do tricks when you're on one of the floaty carrot trails! ^^

If you run fast into one of the trails, the tricks will add up to your maximum speed when exiting the trail, as the trails carry your momentum when running!

Added some different camera options in the game for preference!

Wanted to try a different kind of model, so I modeled Blue and Magenta from Blue's Clues ^^

(Behind the scenes included)

I'm really happy with how I got them to almost look like cut-outs in 3D!

Added in a new mechanic into TEAM SLAY-BELLS today ^^

This was very fun to get working!

This was a big critique in the SAGE 2025 demo, so I wanted to tackle this first. I'm adjusting the stages to be smaller, and not be so zoomed out

(Note, the Adjusted version is not yet complete, so there's no stage outline, pink shadow, or enemies shown)

One of the criticisms with KICK-BELL's demo was that the stages were too large and zoomed out.

Here's a quick look at some of the updated stage design! You can complete them a lot quicker, and you have more player visibility now that they're smaller ^^

Working on an Orchestral styled rendition of PAC-Village from PAC-MAN WORLD 2 ^^

I really like how it's turning out, so I wanted to share what's done so far! (it's using VSTs that I never really play around with too often, as well as audio sampling)
