Okay so, I wanted to wait to make this post till after "when the lights go dim" releases, but just gonna say it now, once that game releases I plan to take a huge break from game development for some months, unsure honestly but I do wanna take one regardless. Mainly to build up motivation, I do have many ideas for fangames and I wanna do them next year, I also wanna change myself as a person and get out there more. I used to always fear criticism and truth harsh statements which always led me to feel down or not worthy a lot of the time, but I do wish to change that and genuinely get criticism for my future works to become the better dev that I can grow as. In all honesty, I would love to hear from y'all what you'd love to see me change, improve upon. I don't wanna sit around and avoid the truth about my projects and instead work with people who have a better understanding to help me get better.
Within' the break I do plan to stick to commissions and models, just not game dev stuff till I feel ready to return to them next year. I wanna set myself straight and understand things more so comms will still be around don't worry! Just wanted to say this since when the lights go dim is done, we're just adding final touches and fixes that @DiceGames gave us. Once that gets done it'll be testing and a final trailer for a possible release!
This is prob a useless post honestly lol, but wanted to spill this out there. Hoping by the time my fangames begin next year I can learn a lot more and seriously grow. That's my huge goal honestly, always felt low/sad this year and I want next year to change that, I appreciate the reading! I prob won't give much game dev updates for WTLGD until it releases and once it's out I'll just do my own thing, study how other games work and overall fix myself motivationally n' all that till I get back and fully ready :)
