Hey, been a while. I’ve been working on level design as promised and I’ve been testing out a room where you’ve got to swing on these poles in order to avoid the spikes, and I’ve started designing the first boss. Hopefully I can have a playable teaser out for you guys soon, yeah?
Uhm, so what do I have to show for myself? I’ve been gone a while and you probably want to know what’s different.
Okay, first thing I’ve been experimenting with, grind rails! That’s exciting and fun, hopefully you guys enjoy that.
The fairy is me experimenting with something new, it acts a lot like the Aku Aku mask in Crash Bandicoot as it absorbs a single hit for Owen. Might be a fun reward for exploration.

So yeah, hopefully you kind of get the idea of the flow of the game. There are ladders to climb and poles to swing on and spikes to avoid and enemies to jump over and coins to collect.
Sorry I’ve been quiet, haven’t meant to, just that life happens and sometimes I end up doing a bunch of work and neglect to post an update. Can’t wait for people to eventually try the project out for themselves, hope you guys will love it! It’s been a blast to work on so far and hopefully I’ll update you more frequently! Anyway, more on the rest as it comes.
