I came up with Vacation at Winston's, a fan game based on Five Nights at Freddy's (FNaF), during the 2020 lockdown. This project was particularly close to my heart, and I finally decided to share it on GameJolt.

I came up with the idea for the game at a time when isolation was the norm. As a big fan of the FNaF universe, I wanted to create something that captured its spirit while adding my own touch. "Vacation at Winston's" was born from my desire to revisit the original game's codes while offering a unique experience.

This game is special because it is the result of a personal vision I have developed over time. Every element, from the characters to the soundscape, has been designed to create an atmosphere that is both familiar and new for FNaF fans. It's a project I want to share with everyone so they can discover and appreciate the universe I imagined.

The idea for Vacation at Winston's came from characters I had drawn and designed to be clones. For complicated reasons, these characters were scrapped, as you saw in the extras. Despite this, their names remained etched in my memory, as did some of the game mechanics I had imagined.

The main challenge was creating a coherent story for this fan game. I didn't have a specific plot in mind, but I knew I wanted to incorporate these characters and mechanics in a surprising and intriguing way. My goal was to transform these abandoned elements into a unique and memorable gaming experience while staying true to the spirit of the FNaF universe.

I developed this game with passion, despite the technical challenges I encountered. Since I am working alone, fixing bugs and improving mechanics takes between four and six months. With help, this timeframe could be reduced to two or three months.

Bonus: Things I Allow and Things I Don't Allow

What I Allow:

- Create fan art, fan fiction, or other content related to the game (as long as it isn't fanon or similar).

-You may also create horror analogies in your own style.

-Making OCs of Winston's characters is also allowed.

-Collaborations are open if some of you are interested in adding some of the characters as threats or Easter eggs.

-Clickteam porting can happen if you are interested. Contact me on Discord or here on GameJolt so I can give you permission.

What I don't allow:

-I do not authorize you to create NSFW or R-34 content, whether you are a content creator on Scratch, GameJolt, or X (formerly Twitter), even if it is fanon, +13, or another style.

-Revealing information about the sequel or future updates may result in the cancellation of the game and the sequel. This applies to all ages.

-Theft is also prohibited because it can lead to drama. Please refrain from doing so.

-Criticizing the game may annoy me and cause me to delete any comments that do so, so it is not allowed.

-You have been informed, so please follow the rules. I recommend a community that is good and not toxic, unlike other communities from different games (Dead by Daylight, Rocket League, Fortnite, Dota 2, Rust, GTA Online, Minecraft, Phasmophobia, etc...)
