MachBlade is the official game title! anyways I made some adjustments to the controls, mainly the speed build up (DEVLOG)


2 of these in 1 day? crazy I know.

anyways I cleaned up the movement code, mainly the speed buildup (took a bit to make work right) so thats why it looks like nothing changed. now if you let go of the speed up button, it will decrease but you can still increase it from there if you press the speed up button again before it hits the min speed point. You can also charge it while standing still, but it will also lower your defense, so be wise when using that button.

also the speed trail is solid white, It might change color depending on character but I dont know yet

my next goal is to add proper collision go the game, proPAIN.png wont do it

After 2 months of playing, I beat wall of flesh and made it to hardmode, I GENUINELY don't know what my next step it

After the code broke, I got sick (still kinda am rn) so not much has happened since but expect more news by January 2026 (maybe Christmas if your lucky)

I have new ideas for this game now. I dont have any good ideas on how to implement the rougelike gameplay in this game that well, so my new idea is a boss fight gauntlet, more updates soon

oh yeah I LOVE that turbowarp just BROKE for no reason whatsoever and now MachBlade does not work anymore, gotta restart :D (eh, the code was getting a bit janky with crappy variable naming)
