Main menu

Note: This post and the following two are about the features that have been developed two week ago. I haven’t been able to write a post about them due to college work.

I have created a main menu system which, while wasn’t particularly difficult to do due to past experience. However before it was implemented there were a few changes that had to be made. Finished result can be seen below (background will be added later, as well as different button design).

The menu is pretty simple, but it does what you would expect it to. The “New Game” button opens new game menu with 3 save slots as seen below.

The “Load Game” does as I would think open a load game menu with 3 save slots player can load the game from.

Credits will start the credits rolling sequence, which is also played at the end of the game.

First character is finished (well, modelling is) Texturing will be done when other characters are ready. The model is far from perfect, but it will do for now.

Base for 2 characters (need to be finished) The base models for small and medium characters are done (see below) I had to remake the legs for the character since they looked way too small. The new ones look better:

Base for 3rd character The last of three characters is complete… well the base model is.

Menu Changes and Death mechanic Just a quick update on the menu changes. I have added a restart option to the pause menu The same function will be used to restart the level when a player hits “Death spikes”.

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

Showing off player 2 😎
