Hello Everyone! This is the final, finishing update for Prelude Of Darkness… and it sure is awesome! This update brings along a text overhaul, rewriting and remastering ALL text descriptions in the game to a new first-person narrative format. It’s pretty cool, so be sure to check it out! As far as future updates, this the last REAL one, but if a bug fix is needed, the game will be updated.

On a more serious note, though, I would like to say thank you for playing Prelude Of Darkness. It’s been really fun working on and updating the game, and I can’t believe it’s finally finished.

-Fixed a bad bug that slipped under the radar regarding the torch mechanic.

Once again, thank you. Just a few years ago, making a game seemed like a far-off dream to me… but it is now a full reality. I’m very thankful to have been able to make this game and share it with you, and I hope you continue to enjoy it. Be sure to keep an eye out for the Special Edition of the game which should available soon, featuring new bosses, attacks, and bonus content such as “Build-A-Battle”!

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.
