Since there's no dialogue I'll explain some specifics:

Mal's friends are Layla, Max and Liam.

Layla is a rebellious mischievous girl that loves to pull pranks on her friends. She claims she has no fear but that's where she's insecure as heck once the apocalpyse starts.

Max is a nerd but he's a softy. He tries to help others with their homework whenever they need it but despite what others may think he actually doesn't like math. His family also adopted another softy.

Liam is pretty much an innocent child in a teenager's body, despite what happened to him as child he's pretty much a video game npc of an encouragement and is a pacifist. Though that would be his flaw as leading him to get infected first. He and Max are adoptive brothers.

Mal had a decent life despite her condition [hunger issues]. When she meets up with her friends, Liam isn't there and Mal and Max are concerned but Layla spots Liam first. He's already been bitten.

During the apocalpyse Mal's hunger gets worse and she is the weakest of the 3 that made it out of where they lived. During one incident she got tackled and mauled leading to her death, Max and Layla buried her and left flowers before they had to leave. However, since Mal was infected before she died, she was resurrected sometime later.

Once Mal was alive again she tried to call out to her friends but found her injuries were worse than she thought. With a broken jaw and all she realized she can't speak without immense pain and a raspy voice, unrecognizable from how she used to sound. She also found out that this infection causes her to temporarily not be able to control herself.

While trying to figure out what to do Mal ran into a certain someone [by @KatimuX ] , which wasn't really the best meeting. Can't say that it wasn't for nothing though :D

I'm a little unsatisified with this honestly but for a first time it's not bad. The timing is a bit off during some parts but whatever. Drawing it was more fun than making the video though. I don't have much else to say so I'll take my leave.
