Mario Mario was the brave, kind, and sometimes cocky older brother of Luigi Mario, and together they helped run Super Mario Bros. Plumbing & Scapelli Construction until it closed its doors in the late 90s. They closed their doors since they felt like they did all they could with the companies, and Andrew "Spike" Scapelli was getting too old to run it, so they decided that for his sake, they'd close it down. Before that, however, they noticed that Spike started acting strange. Ever since he found this book in the basement of their HQ, he began to look more and more sleep deprived, almost... crazed in a way.

Shortly after, Spike retired, and the brothers had no choice but to close their doors. Despite this, they still made a pretty penny from their services, and Mario settled down with a woman he met while getting something to eat: Peach Toadstool. After they were hired at the factory + farm by childhood friends Wario and Waluigi, Mario became exceptionally versed in the electrical side of the job. On the farm, he loved working down in the storm cellar, which was also a basement, because there was this little music box that played a tune that he loved. His plumbing roots stayed with him too, helping with piping and networking in both establishments.

He and Wario also had somewhat of a friendly rivalry, frequently having arm wrestling matches with each other, which surprisingly were pretty evenly matched despite Wario's muscles. You can imagine how shocking Mario's wins were when they happened! Mario was also surprisingly athletic, being able to run and jump a lap around the whole farm without breaking a sweat! He was also known for his quick and witty comebacks in arguments, being able to shut them down quickly with a single line. He didn't mean any harm with his remarks and jokes, and his friends all knew that. Like Luigi, he noticed a change in Wario around 2004, and he started to crack noticeably fewer jokes (when sober). He truly was nervous for his friend, and whenever he tried to speak to Wario about what was bothering him, Wario quickly would change the subject. Must be a family thing...
