Monthly Development Update #1

I probably should’ve done this a while ago.
Either way, I’m going to attempt to update you all monthly on the development of the game. Here are a few changes since the last update:

  • Brand new cutscene!

  • New town with new puzzles!

  • Exclamation point!

  • The best one - advanced lighting.
Advanced lighting makes it so the game has a much better and moody atmosphere. It can do things like make a body of water shine blue in the dark or have lamps light up. It comes with a cost, however. It’ll most likely impact performance on older or low-end systems.

Other than that, not much else to say. I’m hoping to get an alpha demo out by the end of summer.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
