Hello, everyone! I've returned with a rather exciting announcement to make, regarding the polls I set up on "Earth Day". And unexpectedly... the poll option that ranked 1st was actually the "GMod Background" one! (And 13 Voters helped make that happen! Thank you SO much, everybody~)

From now on, this game will utilize environments from GMod to a full extent in order to make the vibrant & colorful hand-drawn characters/sprites in "Psychic Friend Fredbear: Heroes of Monetization" feel a whole lot weirder than what I'm going for. [Which isn't a bad thing by any means. This project isn't meant to be taken seriously, after all...] However, this does raise a few-- no, actually... one problem that's a bit embarrassing on my end. (Maybe even shameful???)

"I don't have GMod."

Long story short, the PC I have just isn't capable of running such a magnificent program. It's really outdated, and the only real way I'll be able to pull this off is if I ask someone to help me out. What I'm going for is something that's totally akin to a "2.5D Setting", which I'm presuming will look something like this:

This is just an example (all credit goes to Scott Cawthon), but the perspective is just right for the environments. It doesn't have to look exact, but the look & feel of a background with a 2.5D Perspective is what'll make this fan-game work with 2D Characters-- especially when it comes to the battle engine.

But until I'm able to find someone who'd like to help me out, I think it's time for me to discuss another thing that I've been meaning to talk about sooner or later. (And it's all thanks to IRL circumstances!) Are you ready? Because this could be big...

Potential Commissioned Art!?

Yes... it's a random thought that's been on my mind for quite a long time, now. Development on the prologue chapter for "Psychic Friend Fredbear: Heroes of Monetization" has been in the works for quite a while now, and I'm absolutely excited to show you what it'll look like once I have proper "GMod Backgrounds" to work with... but I've been thinking about commissioning a few people in order to make custom "VN Character Bodies" (and maybe even "Undertale/Deltarune Inspired" sprites) of the VTubers/YouTubers & other characters that'll be featured in this non-profit parody fan-game. [As you probably don't know, there are 7 teams in this game that each have their own team members... and only 6 of them will be the 'main focus' of their own unique episodes.]

As an example (and honestly... a smol "leak" of sorts), here's what Fredbear's current designs will look like in the prologue:

It's fairly simple, but a cartoony design will help make the game feel a bit more 'expressive' at times. But what about VTubers, YouTubers, and Fictional Characters that'll appear in this fan-game? What'll "Jacksepticeye" look like? Or how about "Meggy" from the SMG4 Series? Maybe "Gawr Gura" or "Okayu Nekomata" will be given unique anime designs?

These questions should hopefully allow you to see what I'm going for, now. Unique designs that resonate with all sorts of people should (hopefully) make this fan-game look a little more unique in scope {despite it having a linear story}, giving the world a bit more depth & lore than what I had planned. But as of this devlog, though... I'm currently on a 2-Day Break. I'll be starting work at my IRL job starting "May 10th", but it won't really hinder any of my time as a game developer. I really hope you enjoy playing it for a bit while I continue developing the one-off prologue for this game! (Well, despite the unique 'circumstances' I addressed here...)
