Almost two years ago I announced that I will be making a fan game based on a not so globally known fast food chain. I wanted to showcase the very famous mascot that's known all over my country to the world. Looking back, obviously it wasn't such a good idea.
I was just a kid who wanted to pursue game development just for fun, and that idea struck out of my imagination. Naturally I just went through with it. Not knowing the possible consequences of my actions because I never knew that the games would reach this far.
Yes, the rumors are indeed true. A lawyer from the said fast food chain contacted me to inform me about my infringement of their trademark rights. Leaving me no choice but to take the games down.
I have no problems in complying to their request as I have left this chapter of my life months ago. I really thought of taking the games down in silence and no body would even notice. But seeing that the game still has some what of an impact to people, I've felt that I needed to address just this.
Just move on. There are hundreds of other more pressing issues out there that is more worth batting an eye on rather than focusing on this one (1) fan game. My mind is still boggled on how such a small game could still have an impact to people considering the extreme lack of updates from the past months.
While I still do appreciate the support that's been given for the games, it's still time to move on. Read a book, watch a movie or play a game that's not a FNaF fan game for once. I did, and I've never felt more free ever since.
J*******'s is gone, but the JOLLY series remains unaffected. I guess I'll see you all next time if I'll ever get motivated in making a game again.
