For those who don't know, the names Mr. Video and Mr. Greenie were names Nintendo considered for Mario and Luigi.

As for their designs, they're sort of a combination of Talon and his brother from the Legend of Zelda (I forgot the other brothers name.) And their sprites from the Mario Bros. Arcade Game. I really like their designs, and they could take care of Malon very well.
