After the events of season 1 GB Cyon was turned back into his virus form and ended up getting captured by a scientist drone

The scientist drone had began experimenting on GB Cyon to figure out how to stop him fully, but overtime this changed to scientist drone and turned him into a madman, but GB Cyon ended up breaking lose from his capture and managed to Infect the scientist drone, but he managed to lock himself inside of the bunker/lab, keeping GB Cyon at bay for a long time, while GB Cyon was in this state he ended up destroying all of the work on the cure, then we move to present day where A group of worker drones had found the bunker and managed to break open the door, not knowing what is in there, they find GB Cyon in the bunker, GB managed to infect the two drones and Made them mindless zombies, one of them ended up going to City 9
