My revised review of I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love after a second listen


Romance- unknown/10, good song but it serves the purpose of an opener so it’s neither perfect nor bad

HTMIBEFTBOU- 10/10, an amazing opener which provides a good setup for the conflict

Vampires Will Never Hurt You- 9.5/10, works best when paired with the previous track but stands by itself well too

Drowning Lessons- 9.75/10, best appreciated with the context of the whole album story

Our Lady of Sorrows- 10/10, the sheer POWER the instruments exude in this make it so that I want to rate this song higher than a 10 but I couldn’t

Headfirst for Halos- 9.2/10, the lyrics are dark enough to be a potential warding off point for me, but appreciating the story of the album that @Da_Lux_Games clued me in on made it alright for me

Skylines and Turnstiles- 9.3/10, probably not the song that I’d listen to by itself but it adds a lot of flavor to the overall context

Early Sunsets over Monroeville- 9.5/10, changed my tune about this one so much it’s unimaginable that I ever could

This Is the Best Day Ever- 9.1/10, I love how this song and the previous one really convey the change in tone where the pair have actually set forth their plan

Cubicles- 10/10, this song gives me song ideas of my own

Demolition Lovers- 10/10, another perfect 10 to finish out the album that deserved (and got) my second chance
