Happy Summer, adventurers!
Work on the game is progressing, though slower than I'd like. So I decided it's a good time to release an updated demo! Especially since the previous one is quite outdated by now, and was released well over 2 years ago. It lacked much interesting stuff too.
- This time, there are two maps to explore instead of just one. This means you can encounter one of the main boss fights this time!
- There are a few weapons and spells to try, as well as a few more that can be received as loot from enemies, if you're lucky. (There were only two weapons and two spells in the previous demo. Now there are 4 or 5 of each!)
- There are at least 5 equippable artifacts to find, to mix up your gameplay style. (There was only one of these in the previous demo!)
- And plenty of secrets to help you fund the upgrading of all these things, while not giving you enough to fully upgrade everything, to give the demo some replay value!
- On top of difficulty settings, there's also a selection of gameplay modifiers to mix up the experience further, with many more to come in the full game!
I would estimate this demo to have about 2 to 3 hours of content, possibly more or less depending on the level of completion you go for.
(As always, sorry for the lack of rebindable controls... You might need to use a third party program like JoyToKey, or Xpadder, if they're not to your liking.)
I hope you enjoy this demo, and look forward to the full game some day! I'd like to guess at a late-2025 release, but creative motivation and ideas can be unpredictable, so I know better than to get hopes up for that.
